Felicia A. Henderson is a leadership consultant with almost 25 years of experience advising senior executives of corporations, investment firms, and non-profit organizations. From August 2020 to January 2021, Felicia served as the Senior Advisor to the core team exploring equity, diversity, and inclusion at Insead Business School.
Felicia is an adjunct professor at Sciences Po where she has taught since 2011. She teaches undergraduate courses on corporate law and governance and has taught comparative equality law, social change, and organizational behavior. Felicia has also been a guest lecturer on law at EDHEC Business School and a lecturer on leadership at HEAD Law School and in the IES Business and International Affairs program in Paris.
Felicia began her career in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, a prominent international law firm, where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions, in particular leveraged buyouts. Felicia transferred to the Debevoise Paris office in 2001 and continued to advise corporations and private equity funds in strategic and capital-raising transactions. She was named International Counsel to the firm in 2008. As an American who has worked in France since 2001, Felicia is equally at ease in English and French.
Felicia holds a master’s degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD Business School, awarded with distinction in 2017. She received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Duke University in 1994, with a double-major in French Studies (French literature) and International Comparative Studies. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1997. While at Harvard, Felicia served as Editor-in-Chief of Volume 20 of the Harvard Women’s Law Journal. Although she no longer actively practices law, Felicia remains a member of the bar of the State of New York.
In 2020, Felicia's co-authored business teaching case, Mirvac Building Balance, won the Hot Topic "Diversity and Discrimination" category in The Case Centre's annual competition. She has published various articles in INSEAD Knowledge and in the Sciences Po Law Review (Volumes 14 and 15).
Felicia has moderated or participated on numerous panels covering various topics related to equity and inclusion, the legal profession, corporate governance, and cross-cultural management issues. She is a frequent keynote speaker at private events and conferences. Among her public speaking engagements, Felicia has given two TEDx talks, available in the Thought Leadership tab.
