    Felicia A. Henderson

    DEI Consultant

    Felicia A. Henderson has over 25 years of experience advising corporations, investment firms, and non-profit organizations and their senior executives. She focuses her advising work on increasing board-level and c-suite diversity; on leadership development for historically-marginalized populations; and on team and organizational dynamics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

     

    Felicia began her career as a corporate lawyer in the New York and Paris offices of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she practiced for over a dozen years, focused primarily on M&A and capital markets transactions. She served on the firm’s Associate Liaison Committee and was a founding member of its Diversity Committee. She launched her independent advising activity in 2014. In the second half of 2020, she served as external Senior Advisor to the taskforce charged with developing a broadened EDI strategy at INSEAD Business School.

     

    Felicia has worked with clients ranging from large multinational corporations to start-up leadership groups. As an American who has worked in France since 2001, Felicia is equally at ease in English and French.

    Educator

    Felicia A. Henderson is a Lecturer and Programme Co-Director for the Advancing Diversity and Inclusion open online programme at INSEAD Business School. She regularly leads sessions on diversity, equity, and inclusion and leadership in open and company-specific INSEAD Executive Education programs.

     

    Felicia also lectures on corporate law and governance at Sciences Po Paris, where she has been an Adjunct Lecturer since 2011. She has offered courses on comparative equality law, organizational behavior, and inequality and social change at Sciences Po. She has been a guest lecturer on law at EDHEC Business School (Lille, France) and on leadership at HEAD Law School (Paris).

     

    Felicia regularly produces pedagogical materials on DEI topics. In 2020, her co-authored business teaching case, Mirvac Building Balance, won the Hot Topic "Diversity and Discrimination" category in The Case Centre's annual competition. She has published in INSEAD Knowledge, Ivey Business Journal Insights, and the Sciences Po Law Review (Volumes 14 and 15).

    Speaker

    Felicia A. Henderson has moderated or participated on numerous panels covering topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; corporate governance; the legal profession; and cross-cultural leadership issues. She is a frequent keynote speaker at private events and conferences. Among her public speaking appearances, Felicia has given two TEDx talks, available in the Thought Leadership tab.

    Felicia holds a master’s degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD Business School, awarded with distinction in 2017. She received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Duke University, with a double-major in French Studies (French literature) and International Comparative Studies. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, Felicia served as Editor-in-Chief for Volume 20 of the Harvard Women’s Law Journal.
